Igniting Innovation Part 1: Increasing visitation, experimenting with amenities, and forging partnerships
Lighting enhances, extends and promotes the use of parks and public places after dark. The way we light our parks can have serious effects on public perception of safety and can cause negative effects on people and the environment. So why is it that we often leave decisions on lighting to others? This webinar will equip you with basic knowledge on how to specify, plan and manage lighting to enhance your park and protect the environment.
About the Presenter(s)
Paul Wilson has over 30 years’ experience in parks and recreation management and more than 15 years in illumination engineering. The combination of lighting design and parks management skills gives Paul a unique perspective on lighting policy and application in public spaces. Paul is past-president for IFPRA Asia Pacific, a Certified Parks Professional International (CPPI), Accredited Recreation Professional (ARPro) and Technician with the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand. Paul practices illuminating engineering and recreation planning with parks and recreation consultancy Xyst where he provides award winning lighting design, policy and asset management services to parks agencies.
