About
League and tournament play is at the foundation of recreational sports. If your municipal park and recreation agency offers recreational programming, which most do, it will almost certainly offer sports programming for youth and adults in the form of leagues and tournaments. In this course, you will learn about the functioning of leagues and tournaments and how to plan them, design them, and create schedules for them.
This course is also part of the Fundamentals of Recreational Sports Management Certificate program. If you are taking the course outside of the certificate program, you will be assessed only via the multiple-choice quiz. If you are enrolled in the certificate program, you will be required to complete and upload a written assignment to be graded by the course instructor. All assignments must be passed in order to earn the certificate.
