The first 90 days are crucial to successfully ‘onboard’ new employees. Bringing on new employees, or onboarding is a critical process for helping new employees understand your organization and expectations to help them “hit the ground running”. Research shows that effective onboarding, improves employee retention, performance, and morale among all staff significantly; especially seasonal and part-time staff.
Course Schedule
This program is self-paced allowing flexibility in the time needed to complete the course. Following each course, learners will complete an assessment which requires them to demonstrate understanding of key course concepts.
Trainers will also have a free companion facilitation guide and instruction for completing onboarding training with group exercises intended to reinforce learning from the e-courses.

Recommended Background
These courses are designed to meet the needs of new seasonal, part-time, and full-time parks and recreation employees and their supervisors/department heads.
Participants do not need to take any prerequisite courses. The New Employee Onboarding courses are designed so that concepts in the courses can be followed-up and discussed during in-person orientation. A companion facilitation guide for supervisors and department heads is available as part of the New Employee Onboarding suite. The facilitation guide includes activities and discussion points and can be used as a tool to reinforce the information learned in the courses.

No additional resources are required for this course.
Will I get a certificate after completing the course?
Yes! All courses include a final assessment to evaluate your understanding of key course concepts. A certificate of completion will be offered to you if you complete the assessment with a score of 80% or higher. You will earn a certificate of completion for a certificate program after completing all program assignments and the assessments with a score of 80% or higher.
