Public engagement should occur at all levels of the planning process. This course focuses on the importance of and methods for getting input from the general public. It will also help you identify which of those methods would be the best fit for your agency and when to use them in the planning process. At the end of the course you will have the opportunity to create a simplified public engagement plan for one of your park planning efforts.

Please note: While this course can be taken alone, we recommend that you take it as part of the more comprehensive Park Planning Certificate course of study. If you are taking the course outside of the certificate program, you will be assessed only via the multiple choice quiz. You are welcome to work on the portfolio assignment, but you will not be able to upload your assignment for individual feedback from our expert course instructors.
