Presenters

Luis Romahn, President and Director ANPR México

Luis Romahn is president and founder of Parks of Mexico and of the National Association of Parks and Recreation Mexico. He has worked for the last nine years on urban parks and public spaces projects in Mexico through models of participatory design, community building, and financial sustainability. He is a member of City Parks Alliance's board of directors and a representative of the World Urban Parks in Mexico. He has also been a member of World Parks Academy's board since 2018. He is the author of the book "Building My Park - From Citizen Participation to the Administration of Public Space."

Germán Enriquez, Director, Metropolitan Park of León

Industrial Engineer with a minor in Systems from Tec de Monterrey in Monterrey Mexico with a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering specialized in Bioresource Technologies by the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen Denmark. German has workded in sustainability and environmental disaster relief projects worldwide as member of Engineers Without Borders in its danish chapter, in local environmental education and infraestructure programs as Area Director in León Municipality's Environmental Department in Guanajuato Mexico and as Analyst & Researcher at Novozymes in Kalundborg Denmark. Present day Executive Director of the natural protected urban park "Parque Ecológico Metropolitano de León" and Lecturer at Tec de Monterrey University on the topics of Climate Change and Systems Engineering.

Mariana Prone, Administrator of the Urban Parks Coordination Unit of the Province of Salta, Argentina

Mariana Prone holds a bachelor in tourism, and a master’s in public function and destination management and tourism companies. She has worked in different companies of the tourism sector and was a Consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank. She is also a university teacher. She was Director of Tourism Planning of the Province of Salta between 2001-2004 and has participated in different interdisciplinary teams for the elaboration of territorial and tourism strategic plans in Argentina. She has a lot of experience in tourism and for four years now, she directs the Urban Parks Coordinating Unit of Salta.
